Two Ways In, One Great Field
Paved Runway 17/35 — 3,500 ft × 42 ft of regularly inspected, well-maintained asphalt. Well-suited to general-aviation singles, light twins, and most piston aircraft.
Dirt Runway 14/32 — 1,600 ft of groomed surface maintained for light aircraft and tailwheel operations. Check current conditions before use on our Live Weather page or by calling the field.
Aligned to the valley winds. 17/35 is oriented to the prevailing Salome Valley wind patterns — minimizing crosswind exposure and keeping operations predictable year-round.
Maintained, Marked & Monitored
The field is kept to general-aviation standards with clear threshold and centerline markings. Pilots are encouraged to review NOTAMs before arrival and to reach out with any field-condition question.
We'd rather hear from you before your flight than after.

Western Sky's pilot lounge is built for aviators who appreciate a clean, comfortable place to decompress, grab a bite, and swap stories with other pilots. It isn't a commercial FBO — it's better: a community hub where residents and transient pilots are equally at home.
